District C is an innovative organization that supports diverse, equitable, and inclusive talent development.  By building a public and private ecosystem of support, District C is able to provide high school students with design thinking strategies to solve “real-life” business problems. Their approach is straightforward: prepare students for doing real work by giving them more opportunities to do real work. Founded by Anne Jones and Dan Gonzalez, they have created a new operating model for preparing the next generation of diverse talent for modern work.

Benefit Description

As a Pioneer-level member of the Triangle DEI Alliance, your company can utilize District C’s facilitation expertise in design thinking to support DEI goals.  You can receive a custom District C workshop for your entire DEI team on processes for having meaningful and courageous conversations.

District C package includes: 

  1. A 45-minute planning session with executive leadership and/or DEI team.  The facilitator will review plans, get feedback to customize it for their specific topics of interest, and work through all logistics for the workshop.

  2. A 75-minute workshop on having meaningful and courageous conversations. Teams will learn and use District C tools and mindsets as well as get real-time coaching during the session.

  3. A 30-minute debrief with the leadership of their DEI team on how the workshop outcomes and how they can keep the mindsets and tools alive moving forward.

During this strategy call, you will discuss the DEI initiatives your company would like to learn more about and potential next steps. Moving further along the diversity continuum requires strategic commitment and measurable initiatives.
